My first love in the world of media was narrative programs on public radio. "This American Life", "Radio Lab", and the work of Story Corps have been great sources of inspiration for me.
In college, I created a weekly radio show for KWVA called "Everyday Ovid" which drew from these influences. "Berzerker Rage" is an interview I recorded and edited for that show. The story "Measure 11" was created for the daily, student produced news show on KWVA. "Roma Culture" was an assignment for a radio class.
Although my recent work has been with video, I still love the power of storytelling through audio. These early pieces helped me learn how to conduct interviews on tape and tell a story without the benefit of b-roll.
